2019 Goals

Happy Nee Year!!

2018 is officially behind us and I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for the fresh slate that is 2019.

Christmas is lovely but I’ve found myself clinging less and less onto the festive season, I’ve found it’s very much for kids and large families that come together, unfortunately hubby and I don’t have children plus my large family are scattered here there and everywhere, so it’s normally just me and hubby then a few hours after coming back from christmas day dinner hubby pops over to his parents.

New Year’s Eve is a little bit strange for me. I tend to get really emotional don’t ask me why as o have no idea I’ve done plenty of party the new year in, plus hubby tends to come home before or a little after midnight bit this year was very different it’s like I put my big girl pants on we had no tears I spoke to hubby as it struck midnight, even got a drunken facetime from my Neice sent a few message as you do i was fine check me out!! By New Year’s Eve this year, I was over all of the festivities and ready for life to return to normality, while scoffing leftover Chocolate, of course.

Once the new year ticks over, I started to think about what I want out of the year ahead.

I thought about doing a blog post last year but didn’t for some reason, outlining my goals for 2018, so I thought I would kuckle down and actually  do one this year.

I’m not into the whole traditional Resolutions – I think ‘Resolutions’ Are kinda pointless really, everyone goes for the same thing eat healthier, join a gym, give up smoking you know the standard new year new me bullsh*t. Then give up my march as life has got in the way. The term ‘resolutions’ can be incredibly toxic I feel it implies that you need to make changes to yourself in order to be happy and live a fulfilling life, which when made in the wrong mindset can create a kind of depression,

Setting goals a much better idea I find as they give you a clear vision for you to strive towards, meaning your more likely to achieve them or at the very least making a positive mindset to progress towards (making a vision boards is a great way to get you excited plus you see your goals everyday), Be totally honest with yourself, how many times have you set a New Years resolution only for it to be thrown out the window by the end of January? In many cases that’s because half the time there unrealistic if you haven’t started eating healthier or Stopped smoking before the new year hits why do you think setting them as New Year’s resolutions is going to kick start you!?

However, with that being said – if you like the word resolutions and that works for you then don’t change we’re all different after all. Do what works for you.

So without further ado here are my 5 2019 Goals.

1. Saying yes to things I would normally say no to (within boundaries)

Opportunities often arise and we sometimes say no to them for whatever reason. In 2019, I’d like to say “yes” to these things more often. I’ve started with a yes already with an opportunity of becoming an ambassador for an online watch company super excited, I don’t know what’s else is going to happen this year or what opportunities will arise yet, that I can shout about or say yes to. We’ll just have to wait and see what the universe send.

2. Engage more within Blogging world.

2018 I pretty much kept myself  in a very  small group of other bloggers within the Disability world which was great I’ve made some amazing friends they all helped me build my confidence and become a better blogger and writter. So now I’m ready to really see what the blogging world can offer.

3. Learn something new / Do an online course.

This I’m kinda of thinking is a two for the price of one goal, as I’m turning 40 in march, and think learning something new plus keeping my brain active is a good thing, never to old to learn something new,

4. Venture out my own four walls more.

Now this again Is within reason as I do need to think about needing the loo of I’m out longer than a few hours as Unfortunately some Disabled toilets aren’t suitable, (weeing such an inconvenience!) but with this said I’ve got a PA (Personal assistant) starting next week so I’m excited to go to the cinema, shopping even a cheeky pub lunch.

5. Declutter.

Now this in my house such an issue you can’t look without seeing some pile of something somewhere, hubby definitely doesn’t help with his “we might need this one day” it doesn’t help that I’m unable to follow behind him with a black bag tidying and throw things out, it’s just not safe for me to be left in go-kart (Wheelchair) on my own in the house anymore (blonde and disabled no hope!!) So with help this year I’m getting my camera ready to sell and black bags to throw. With me luck!

What’s a goal you want to achieve in 2019?
